i got my first support email from Isabelle...

Dear Veysel..
As a UK citizen being abroad and not in reach of twinnings, I totally understand your deep concern and sorrow.

I think one ought to question the reply in context of consumer rights. This is because, if Twininnings is a international exporter than I guess it ought to care about its customers abroad as well as its internal customers. In the current situation there is a clear discrimination against international (or at least Turkish)Twinning tea lovers.

I deeply criticise the careless rules of Twinnings and hope for it to be changed in the very very near future.
I must add however that I guess poor Veysel is in a much disastrous condition than me, since in a few weeks time I will be enjoying the Twinning tea whilst he will still be waiting for maybe another reply from the authorities of twinning.....

Does Twinings ever care about its customers?

Hi,

I am just very very very upset since i had checked my email three minutes ago... OK, then let me tell you apathy of Twinings UK.

I am an admirer of Twinings from Turkey. Initially i was only drinking its earl grey; but, when i discovered its lemon scented tea, i simply turned to be a junky of it. In those happy times, it was easy to find it in many local supermarkets. But unfortunately those happy times ended and beautiful yellow boxes suddenly disappeared from shelves of supermarket.

I directly ended up in Twinings official website and checked for the importer of Twinings in Turkey. It was HAKS. I had sent an email to them and asked "whaz happenin' dude!" The reply was quick but not helpfull: They just told me "we will let you know when we will bring it back!"

Years past and i did beg my friends who went to abroad to buy me lemon scented teas. Some totally forgot it, some just bought a simple package and thanksfully, generous ones also bought other ranges of Twinings so that i could taste other wondeful tastes. However, what is worst in this story is that being a dependant of someone for something u adore!!!!

Approximately a week ago, I sent another email to the importer of Twinings. The reply was again fast enough and the guy in charge explained to me that due to the tea quotas in Turkey, they can not import many different Twinings and thats why I will not be able to have my lemon scented tea again!!!! The reply was polite but chilly. Furthermore, he miscounted the ranges of Twinings they import!!!

Anyway, i again ended up in Twinings UK's website and discovered that u can mail order! However, it was only limited to customers in UK and Ireland. Anyway, i decided to take my chance and sent an "inquiry" explaining my situation and addiction to them and asked if it is possible to make an exception for me. In brief, i was not asking any "donation" or "gift", but i simply wanted to buy with my own money!!! And needless to say, i was ready to pay more money for postage costs which will be higher than the teas' price.

Days past and i could not receive any reply from these guyz. I got mad and i copy-paste my second "inquiry" verbatim:

to whom it may concern,

i have sent an email approximately 4 or 5 days ago and still could not get
any reply from u.

hope this "contact us" is not a mandatory section that should be used in
websites of big producers in order to create "look, we are taking care of
you"; but a real functioning one.

Are you curious about what i get? A shameless apathy! Here you are and again verbatim:

Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately, as stated on the contact page, the Twinings web-site is for
UK enquiries only and we are only able to answer enquiries from within the
UK.

Kind Regards

Can you believe it? Can you simply believe it? They even did not bother to give a very very simple "yes, why not?" or "no, it is not possible" Is this the way so-called respected companies pay their attention to their devoted customers? A blatant apathy?

Let me warn you guyz: TWININGS (at least UK) DOES NOT CARE ABOUT U CUSTOMERS AT ALL!!!
